aCentral Folque

This is the internet site of aCentral Folque -Galician Center of Popular Music- a project based on study, promotion and management of Galician music with a wide and contemporary approach.

aCentral Folque develops its activities on three main issues:

• Regular education in the schools of Santiago de Compostela (aCFC) and Pontevedra (AFI).
• Professional organization of stage and pedagogical events.
  investigation on folk and traditional music.

In the orientation and the plan of studies aCentral Folque bets on the professionalization of the pupils. To make so it maintains relations and plans of collaboration with similar centres as the CAT (Catalonia), Dastum (Brittany), Kodaly (Hungary), D'Orfeu (Portugal), ISA (The Institute superior of Art - Cuba).

Resulting more than a centre of studies, it is also about a space of meeting for social and professional relations of those interested in Galician music.
